Weigang extend its reach to Africa.

In the first ever installation of Weigang flexo press in Africa, Intergraphic Sales & Services, the official distributor of Weigang and exclusive in India is credited for the installation of an 8-color fully servo driven ZJR-330 flexo printing machine at Perfect Packaging in Nigeria.

 

The international sales manager of Waeigang says, “with this installation we now make our presence in the African market and are hopeful of positive growth in the region.”

 

Perfect Packaging started operations in 2010 at the new plant in Lagos, (Nigeria) that is spread across an area of 87000 sq.ft. The production plant includes two 6-color flexo unit in addition of newly installed Weigang press together with an inspection machine from Guangzhou Pulisi.

 

Perfect Packaging is a sister concern of Sicon Packs which is headquartered in Mumbai. Started operations in 1998, Sicon plant is spread across an area of 12,000 sq ft where they have installed two letterpress machines from Orthotec for printing labels for FMCG companies. The company has plans of acquire the latest machinery in its production with an aim of serving varied industries.

 

With the fresh kit, the company plans the to diversify its business into print shrink sleeves and unsupported films. Up till now the company was catering to cosmetics, distillery and food & beverages with the supple of pressure sensitive labels.

 

Managing director of Intergraphic Sales & Services, Amit Sheth, said. “This is a remarkable project for us since it a first ever installation in West Africa and we are glad to be part of it. This 8-color servo driven Weigang press has all the standard features like cold foil, delam, relam, turnbar, multi-layer lamination unit for booklet labels, and an in-line digital die-cutting.”
